Despite taking a 3-2 lead into the seventh inning, the Martinsville Mustangs four-game winning streak came to a halt with a 7-3 loss to the High Point-Thomasville HiToms on Saturday night at Finch Field in Thomasville.

Right-hander Logan Campbell (Charleston WV) made his fifth start of the season and allowed two first innings run, four hits and struck out five in five innings of work.

The Mustangs (15-8-1, 6-8 CPL) got solo home runs from catcher Matt Stone (Georgetown), Matt Goodheart (Arkansas) and first baseman Steve D’Eusanio (Youngstown St) to take a 3-2 into the seventh, but the HiToms (16-5, 6-5 CPL) exploded for five runs in the home half to secure a 7-3 victory.

Following an off-day Sunday, Martinsville will host HPT on Monday night at Hooker Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
